Miele Vacation Rentals
My process
Miele Apartments is a family-owned vacation rental in the Jersey Shore. They offer weekly and seasonal rentals to couples and families during the summer. They had an outdated website that needed a complete redesign. They advertise mostly on Craigslist and, although they get a lot of click-thru from Craigslist, their conversions were dropping.
They wanted a single page website with a custom gallery to highlight their rentals as well as the many attractions their beach town offers guests.
01 Design
Being that this website was for a vacation rental, I wanted to keep the color palette light and airy. They provided me with the ammenities and attractions they wanted highlighted on their site.
I knew I wanted to go big with images, as well as to create a short 50 second video that provided a glimpse into a guest’s experience at this rental.
02 Build
I used Divi, a premium WordPress theme to redesign their website. The owners had mentioned eventually starting a blog on their website to improve their SEO. Using WordPress gave us the flexibility to build that out when they’re ready.
I used a lot of white space, keeping the landing page clean and easy to navigate. The use of galleries, video, and icons helps guide visitors to the information they’re looking for.
I integrated Call Rail into their call buttons to track the conversions from their website vs. from Craigslist. I also built out a thank you page for all form submissions to allow them to track easily through Google Analytics.
03 Finished Product
The result was a professional, clean website that:
-
- showcases their property & ammenities
- highlights all the activies their beach town has to offer
- has a clear call-to-action
- makes it easy for them to track conversions
This website was enjoyable to build and a great improvement to their old site.
