Crave Marketing
My process
Crave Marketing is a social media marketing firm that specializes in marketing for restaurants. When they started six years ago, they didn’t put much thought into their own website – they were too focused on their clients.
When they came to me, they wanted a brand refresh, and complete redesign, and a more modern, user-friendly site.
01 Design
I knew I wanted to highlight Crave’s special event and community outreach, so the focus became highlighting their work using images and video.
Kat, the owner, had some amazing photos she’d taken so I had a lot to work with from the start. We determined what she wanted potential clients to know, and I built the site around what value Crave Marketing provides, and how they provide it.
02 Build
I decided to build this site using WordPress with a premium theme – Divi. This gave us the flexibility of adding a blog and events pages later on if Kat wanted that functionality. I also wanted to make sure Crave’s site looked great on desktop & mobile.
I wanted to focus on a clear call-to-action, which was to contact Crave for a consultation. This CTA is displayed prominently in the main navigation bar, as well as in the footer and main pages.
Getting focused on what you want a visitor to your website to do is very important. If you give them too many options, they get confused and take no action.
03 Finished Product
Crave’s website went from a simple brochure-style site with no clear call-to-action to a well-designed, modern website that:
-
- highlights their work
- provides visual evidence of their expertise
- has a clear call-to-action
- provides social proof with client testimonials
This was a fun project to work on and Kat was thrilled with the end result.
